  • Reports to: Director, Customer Success

Create clear, actionable product content that drives adoption and success

We’re looking for a Technical Writer to help with customer enablement and our content marketing strategy.

In this role, you’ll craft compelling how-to articles, best practices, and product tips for our community site and our website that are aligned with SEO best practices. You’ll create content that serves both existing customers and prospects interested in intranet best practices. Your work will ensure customers not only understand how to use ThoughtFarmer, but why it helps create better-connected workplaces.

Working closely with our Product, Marketing, and Customer Success teams, you’ll translate internal expertise into clear, engaging, and actionable content that empowers our users and scales our support.

What’s ThoughtFarmer?

ThoughtFarmer is a fast-growing Intranet SaaS company that helps employees at organizations around the world share knowledge, stay informed, and feel connected through our award-winning intranet platform. We’re on a mission to make every company the best place to work.

What we’re looking for from our Technical Writer

You’re a thoughtful communicator with a background in knowledge management, internal content, or documentation. You’re comfortable digging into a product to understand how it works, and you know how to write content that’s not only useful, but genuinely helpful.

You think from the reader’s perspective, know what makes support content shine in search, and enjoy simplifying complex topics without dumbing them down.

You’re equally comfortable explaining a best practice, writing a how-to guide, or helping users understand why an intranet matters, and how ThoughtFarmer helps them get there.

What success looks like

Success in this role means your content doesn’t just inform, it drives real business outcomes for both ThoughtFarmer and our customers.

We hope this role will

  • Improve customer onboarding and adoption with clear, actionable content that helps users realize the full value from our product and achieve their goals faster.
  • Boost ThoughtFarmer’s presence as a thought leader in the intranet space through valuable content that attracts qualified prospects.

Responsibilities

  • Audit, rewrite, and enhance existing intranet-related content on our customer community site
  • Create new articles and guides that blend intranet best practices with ThoughtFarmer-specific instructions
  • Use the ThoughtFarmer platform to test features and create first-hand, experience-driven content
  • Meet with and interview key  internal stakeholders to capture knowledge and expertise and ensure content accuracy
  • Write in a clear, engaging tone that reflects our brand and puts customer understanding first
  • Support the development of an organized, self-service knowledge base that reduces support volume while increasing customer success, adoption, and satisfaction

Must-have requirements

  • Experience: 3+ years writing support documentation,  how to guides, and product-related content
  • Intranet fluency: Familiarity with intranet tools, internal communications, or knowledge management processes
  • Content mindset: Strong writing skills and ability to tailor tone and format to be brand consistent and cater to different persona needs
  • Hands-on: Willingness to use and explore the ThoughtFarmer product in detail
  • Collaborative: Comfortable working across teams and incorporating feedback
  • Organized: Able to manage multiple content pieces and deadlines within a part-time contract scope
