What we’re looking for from our Product Marketing Manager

As a Product Marketing Manager, your main job is to execute product marketing strategies that get more organizations using and loving our intranet solution. You’ll work closely with other team members to understand customer needs and painpoints, and translate this into marketing content that demonstrates how our product solves real workplace challenges. 

You have a passion for B2B technology, and working with Sales, Marketing, Product, Customer Success and—most importantly—customers to convey value propositions with tangible benefits. 

You are able to summarize complex ideas into concise, meaningful copy. You understand how to tell compelling product stories with high impact phrases and visualizations.

Responsibilities

As a Product Marketing Manager, you will play a crucial role in driving the success of our software, articulating compelling value propositions, and establishing strong market positioning.

  • You’ll develop product marketing content that expresses clear product value and market leadership to drive awareness, adoption, retention, and revenue growth.
  • Your effective marketing strategies will differentiate our product from our competitors with messaging that resonates with our buyers.
  • You’ll collaborate with Product, Sales, Marketing, and Customer Success teams to  create compelling content and marketing assets to support sales efforts and increase engagement with existing customers.
  • You’ll plan compelling product launches and promotional campaigns to showcase new and current features, use cases, and benefits.  
  • You’ll conduct customer and market research to inform personas and buyer journeys, and stay updated on customer needs and industry trends.
  • You’ll be available for occasional travel to industry conferences alongside Sales to speak with prospects and customers.  

Must-have requirements

  • You have 3–5 years product marketing experience within the B2B SaaS industry.
  • You have a solid grasp of current marketing principles and techniques, especially when it comes to product positioning and messaging.
  • You have excellent written communication skills with an understanding of how to produce high-impact content and sales-driven marketing materials. 
  • You’re a pro at managing projects, with top-notch skills in prioritization and handling multiple initiatives at once.
  • You’re a sharp thinker with a knack for numbers. You know how to gather and understand data, using it to uncover valuable insights that drive action.
  • You excel at presenting your ideas and have fantastic interpersonal skills. You know how to effectively influence and communicate with people at every level.
  • You know your way around marketing automation tools, CRM systems, and analytics platforms.

ThoughtFarmer is based in Vancouver, and we have staff working remotely all across Canada.

If you live in the Vancouver area, you still have plenty of options. Choose from either fully onsite, to fully remote, or a hybrid of both. Whatever suits your situation and life.

Compensation and benefits

  • The salary range for this role is $105,000-$120,000 which is dependent on level of experience
