ThoughtFarmer at Enterprise 2.0 Conference in Boston; IDEO presenting

Darren and I are off to the Enterprise 2.0 Conference in Boston, June 22-25th. This event has become the official go-to gathering for all the pundits, bloggers, media, vendors and consultants in the enterprise social software space. If we’re lucky, there might even be some potential customers there.
One of the highlights will be seeing Gentry Underwood, our good friend and client at IDEO, presenting on “How to Build Collaborative Software That People Will Actually Use.” The extract of the session:
Why do many internal Web 2.0 systems fail to thrive? Is it culture? Fear of new technology? Unspoken rules around collaboration and competition? Designing solutions that work means finding triggers for individual motivation, insisting on simple and intuitive UI, and integrating into existing workflows. IDEO, the award-winning design firm ranked #10 on Fast Company’s list of the Most Innovative Companies, shares key insights derived from experiences building knowledge sharing systems internally and for its Fortune 100 clientele.
Gentry will be showing off The Tube, IDEO’s beautiful intranet. ThoughtFarmer is a critical component of it. Catch the presentation in Boston on Wednesday, June 24th at 1:00pm.

ThoughtFarmer will also have quite a presence at this conference:
- We’ll have a demo pod in the Expo pavilion
- I’m presenting a condensed, 10-minute version of “Stemming Knowledge Loss with Social Intranet Software” — see a recorded version here
- We’re sponsoring Oliver Mark’s and Stowe Boyd’s Open Enterprise 2009 Research
- Darren and I will be walking everywhere in our flashy ThoughtFarmer T-Shirts
If you’re in the Boston area and would like to meet, please come by the expo (you can register for a Free Pavilion Pass) or tweet us: @thoughtfarmer.
