Software Sales Coordinator

ThoughtFarmer, a fast-growing software product by OpenRoad Communications, is kind of like a Facebook for big companies. We defined the “social intranet” market segment and our software is used around the world by organizations like the Canadian Medical Association, eHarmony, Guardian News & Media, Mountain Equipment Co-op and Penn State University.
Reporting directly to ThoughtFarmer’s leadership team (www.thoughtfarmer.com/about), the Sales Coordinator’s role is to keep sales activities running smoothly and efficiently and to handle the first level of lead qualification. The role requires a very organized person with outstanding communication skills and a high degree of comfort with technology. Sales experience is an asset.
Specific responsibilities include:
- Respond to incoming sales leads
- Assist with qualifying incoming leads through online research, phone calls and emails
- Coordinate schedules and book client meetings for our small sales team
- Coordinate live and online software demonstrations
- Assemble proposals, quotes, RFP responses and contracts
- Liaise with Accounting to ensure accurate and timely invoicing
- Attend client meetings with leadership team and assist with follow-up
- Support ThoughtFarmer resellers
- Track and report on key sales metrics
- Manage lead tracking system
- Assist with marketing and lead-generation activities
- Help develop systems to make lead generation, lead follow-up and customer relationship management more efficient
Required skills and attributes include:
- Enthusiastic & outgoing personality
- Outstanding verbal communication skills
- Outstanding written communication skills
- Self-starter with little need of close supervision
- Innate ability to manage dozens of lists and spreadsheets and hundreds of to-dos
- Enthusiastic about social software
- Very comfortable with all kinds of technology
- Experience in a sales environment is an asset
